I saw a photo of a '67 beetle on this site that belongs to Phil Donnington. The question I had was in regard to the wheels on the car. I have just purchased a '67 beetle and am about to have the original wheels chromed. though I did notice the back wheels look considerably bigger in the photo. Were the rims altered or is it just that bigger tyres were put onto the back wheels? :?

As I look at the foto , I guess they are not 67 beetle wheels but
A: aftermarket Mangels chroom wheels
B: original rechromed 356 Porsche wheels and they come in 4,5 and 5,5 width.

My personel thoughts: 356 wheels.

Maybe you can ask that to the man self, he posted his pict here so maybe he is somewhere on the members list.

Thanks for your feed back it helps, though I did try and ask the guy but his e-mail is blocked and there is no other way of posting a message to him. I was hoping he would respond to thismessage, however, I got the info I needed regardless. I'm sure I will be using the site more often as the works on my beetle have begun. 😃
