If you want to improve oil cooling, and not risk mucking up you airflow, the safest way is to add an external oil cooler to your full flow filter.

I should probably do that, since I´ll be running a Fram anyway. It ought to be pretty easy to take an extra oil line off to a separate cooler.

Is the stock oil pump up to it? I've heard of people adding remote oil coolers and their engines ran hotter because the pump wasn't pumping enough oil around. I guess it depends on where it's located?

Not thought of that.

But then...

...the oil pump shouldn´t be pumping less oil around, unless its knackered. The amount of oil passing through the pump has to remain constant...or...?

Is there some other reason we haven´t thought of?:?:

Can´t see how - or does oil get more compressable as it gets hot?

This is a bit of a headscratcher!
