Hi,

Has anyone tried the RSS feeds on this site and successfully got them working ?

The feeds come in okay but when I click on the 'View Article' I get 'The resource cannot be found.'

Heres a link I had for the post 'Pre 53 Discussions - oh well, it was fun while it lasted. [pre67vw].

https://forums.pre67vw.com/viewtopic.aspx?topic=18193#45233

Have I set something up wrong or is there a problem with the RSS feed links ?

Can anyone help ?

Cheers

Can you explain a little more about what you're doing?

Each thread has an RSS link under the options menu near the top right, while each forum section has an RSS link near the bottom (not very consistent I know, but I didn't write it...). The RSS page looks like this:

feed://forums.pre67vw.com/default.aspx?g=rsstopic&pg=topics&f=1

each link appears to be working OK.

If I click on any of the links I get the resource cannot be found.

I get the same problem when the RSS feeds come in to Outlook 2007.

Hi, I thought I would resurrect this thread as I wanted to know peoples thoughts on the below.

I use the RSS feeds on this site a great deal and sometimes find it difficult to follow a thread. This is because the Subject Heading (in the feed\mail) includes the Section heading and some of the latest message text. I think it would be good idea to use the Section Heading and then the Subject title of the thread.

Using this thread as an example. eg:

General/Chat - RSS Feeds

Instead of:

General/Chat - Hi, I thought I would resurrect this thread as I wanted to know peoples thoughts on the below

This would be similar to how its done on the Samba, which I find easier to follow.

Not sure if it is possible on this Forum engine.

Just a thought
