Should be one on the carb. Isn´t it up to the job?
There´s also a small one behind the pedal (unless you have a roller).

depends what one you mean..

there are two on the pedal depending what year you have,on a non roller there is the spindly one that needs the pedal pin removing but ive never bothered with this or the smaller tighter one that holds the pedal linkage arm together.i found different manufacturers did different tension levels which is quite difficult to do

if its the carb spring then kk do a kit for this,found that the holding washer/plate got in the way and a few washers needed on repro spring to give desired seating of carb for settled idle

there's a new carb on thats fine the pedal just stops when pressed
