Why such a strong anti lowering sentiment here? :?:

I mean, I can see it when its stupidly, car wreckingly low, but wheres the harm otherwise? Making the car sit nicely is far more important to me than seeing how many roofracks and Coke coolers you can hang off your car!

Will I still be welcome here if I lower my Kabrio a bit at the front and fit early Fuchs wheels?

It won't cease to be an early Kab though. And those wheels are nearly 40 years old too! my point is really only this - why are new repro roof racks and bug deflectors considered acceptable and 40year old wheels not?

Better tell Jules to go as well!

Each to their own and all that of course, after Camberg '03 the site took a sharp turn towards the vintage side of things with an emphasis on cars with stock height and stock wheels (it was always slightly that way inclined anyway). Thats the way I'd like to keep going and thats the reason for the anti-lowering sentiment that is shared amongst every hardcore vintage freak I meet.

I think Rob need to change the line on the home page to
"The home of stock vintage aircooled Volkswagens"

It's not that people who have lowered cars arn't welcome (I have one too) but the site is all about stock, vintage aircooled Volkswagens.

You are allowed to like more than one style or model of VW you know!
