Went up t' north to pick up an engine, the guy had an original RHD 54 oval - with a nice motometer gauge set. I think he said it was originally delivered to Oldham. It had some weird overriders on the rear bumper, didn't look like VW to me - but they did fit really well, anyone know anything about them?

They look like morris minor overriders to me. I will have a look at a front bumper later to check.
