Spotted this wonderful stop and rear light unit recently on a 1940s BMW motorcycle. BMW is German of course and this lamp looks very much as though its a cross between the early split window raer light and the following heart top light. (Heartlights for Rattletrap anybody?):smile:

Its a bit different with Minis as they have a full monacoque shell. The Beetle is a quality car with separate body on chassis, so not very easy to replicate I'd think (hope). I'd hate to see plastic splits, Hebs, ovals and vintage cabrios running around:(
