The advertiser says its a November 1948 car, yet the Volksworld cover says it's built under British Army control. I thought we handed production back to Germany early in 1948:?

I remember the car, when it was here at Reinholds garage for restauration - it took him over three years ( 1997 until 2000 ) . The car is simply awesome. But also the asked selling price now is awesome - how will the younger generation afford such a sum for an old beetle ? The vw - world is getting crazy.....:(

I have some pics of the car somewhere - of course I took a lot of photos - as soon as I find the time I might post one or two - maybe someone is interested.

That was not a good idea, going trough all the old photos = to many great memories came back - I thought at the end , that must have been in my other life....:wink:
Anyway - one picture hit me really hard : the moment I discovered and saw the " Jumanji " Rometsch for the first time, in that kind of barn - it was a whole day of work to bring it to the daylight !
