Had to take a brake in the garage when our 6 year old got sick. So we sat at home cutting some cardboard to figure out the final geometry of all moving parts of the frame… :)

Short vidclip here..

Damn!
I am so glad I have the original frame and do not have to do this for my car.
Looks like a hell of a job.
But also looks like it will work in the end.

I like the little challenge envolved in this work. And at the end it is not that complicated..
Well. I have had a lot of help from Peter to be able to visualize this. πŸ™‚

Now I have finished the main parts and tested to mock them up. Next is making all small detail parts so I can finally assemble the frame... πŸ™‚

Now I will not be able to go out to the car garage for two weeks due to winter holidays etc. But decided to work some "at distance" at home instead… So I started some woodworking out of Maple. Cut the big trees and chopped to suitable lengths 14 years ago with the thought of using for this cab frame…

So, here is the first part for the main bow… (Yes, I also have made the wooden table many years ago… πŸ˜‰ )

In the middle. 71 Millimeters high and 20 Millimeters thick.

Along the lower edge there is an area where the thicknes goes down from the 20 to 15 Millimeters.
