Facebook is full of scary news, empty shelves and toilet paper jokes. So I thought it might be worth starting up a new thread of VW only stuff as a distraction from all the bad stuff going on in the world - anything VW related goes, cool photos, pics of your car, pics of your resto, anything that can serve as a good distraction.

I'll start with a cool photo from amag in switzerland.

Well if nobody can be bothered to post on the forum when everyone is at home with time on their hands, then I guess it's well and truly dead.

Some of us are still here!

My car is still the other side of town securely stored away - but no progress will be made on the shell - as I don't for a minute think that it can be classed as an essential trip :(

Is that your isolation project Rob?

Cool!

I've decided I'd like a split - RHD of course ;)

This VW thing seems to be (getting) expensive....

"Cheap" transportation for the masses indeed....

Once you have that, you can use later parts to get it on the road. It depends how original you want and what your budget is. Oldspeed is a good way of using non original parts without it looking modern.

Well at least a split beetle is still less than a split bus?

I seem to recall seeing that RHD was available in Sweden?

I should really finish the big oval first.... then tackle the '68 (maybe?).... then move on to another "project"

I have been thinking over the years to part with the '68... but I'm not sure it would ever make it back to the road - so I figured it may as well chill out with me rather than being broken for parts? It's dry-stored after all...

Do projects like that come around often? a particularly early car as it has crotch coolers?

Tunnel mat - the WW repro is shocking when you look closely at it...
Rear mats - these are the same as LHD and are available in repro from WW - but only in Black...
Hand brake boot - I have a genuine one that was fitted to my car to use as a pattern... but I am not sure if it is correct for our early cars...?

The end goal is to be able to provide much needed RHD rubber!
Perhaps with the option of "special order" custom colours for those that require it...?
