I was at a local car show today... a bunch of corvettes and hot rods... and I took the Beeskow just to confuse everyone. pretty fun to listen to a bunch of corvette guys try to figure out what a Rometsch is.

Anyway... I met a guy who's brother in law used to own a Beeskow. So we called the brother in law to find out more... it turns out he restored a black Cabriolet about 15 years ago in Southern California. He was hit pretty bad about 4 weeks after finishing the car and he thought it was a total wreck and sold it to somebody in Oregon. Then the car was sold again to somebody in the UK. It had serious damage at the front and at the rear.

Anybody know anything about this one?

Maybe it is this Rometsch here. It was fount in the desert in the end 1990s by a curius VW guy who came as I know from Oregon. He brought the car to the netherlands. He also had the red Beeskow which was sold by Johan to Great Britain in the last month...

Bob Shail has not responded to my inquiry.

I have also been trying to contact the old southern california owner... but no response yet.

Oystein and I think it was probably a Lawrence model... not a Beeskow... so maybe it is this badly wrecked lawrence from the desert.

Supposedly it was black though... and a new 1980's paint job.
