Hi, hope someone out there can help....
I've recently bought a bug, which was sold as a 1967 model, and sure enough, she was first registered here in Jersey in 1967, but this doesn't tie in with the chassis number, 3393489.....Now I've looked this up on various sites, but I'm still none the wiser, as each one has given a different date...
I think shes a 1960, possibly 1961.... would appreciate any info...

Yes, I agree with ET. You will need to post a photo of the bug for any assistance here.

This is what has possibly occurred with your beetle - Some of the older bodies were placed on the newer chassis thus that is why they get registered as the year of the newer chassis.

Only got her a couple of days ago....
She's my 3rd bug....my dada had a couple too....so i'm hooked!!!

Well it turns out I was right! Ripley is indeed a 1960 bug!!
Just became the owner of a digital camera ( i'm a purist at heart, but finally gave in!) So will post pics of my babe asap!
