I've not mentioned before, but I am in the process of freshening up my 58 Bug.
I was in the process of rubbing down the roof when I noticed a little pattern of dots emerge? Definantly not random I thought.
My mind then flashed back to variouse old photos I have seen of beetle body shells dangling along the production line above their chassis from what look like 'magnetic udders' :lol:
I thought I recon I will un cover more, and yes, sure enough at 5 other locations on the roof, so 6 in total, equispaced 3 along each side.
The factory gripping device actualy left tiny depresions.
Has any body else ever come across this?
