This strange writing was on the sheet metal under the rear window on my -57 cabrio.
It says "Per blon 16" does anybody have any clue what this is?

That says "Per blau" (Pearl blue? Perl=Pearl in German) - maybe a reference to the colour of hood that was going to go on the car.
