Hello has anybody ever drilled out a hinge pin on a beetle door? If so did it work as i need to get my hinge pin out some how way or means any help would be good

Don't drill it out. Heat the hinge up and drift it out.

It's easiest using a proper press. Repros of the original tool are available but quite expensive!

Fist picture is a new version of the press, second is an original Matra version.

Manny thanks for the replies thats great carnt realy aford one of thoes press things thoe , however when you put drift the hinge pin out after heating what was meant by that do you mean get a metal punch and knock it out from the bottom????????? ok thanks
