I have a 67 convertible and beside the location the jack is stored there a stamp on the body 8077. Does anyone have an idea what the stamp stands for?

No, but I saved the same number from a 62(ish) Cabrio that I scrapped. I have an idea that it´s to tell the guys at Karmann which body belongs to which doors and so on.
