For anyone who is visiting Lavenham for the day on Saturday 23rd June for the Vintage VW show, and not displaying a vehicle, here are some details of what's going on:

VW Visitor Parking - from 9am - 5pm
This year, as the meadow is being used for displaying vehicles, the VW show visitor parking will be at the sports field on Bridge Street. We have enlisted the help of the 1st Lavenham Scouts who will be marshalling the parking on the day. It's only £5 per vehicle to park here regardless of how many passengers, and some of the proceeds will be going to the Scouts for their hard work. Hopefully, like last time, this will become a VW show in its own right, where anyone with a VW can park. It's only a short walk into the town so please support the show and park here to free-up the main car-parks in the town for other visitors to Lavenham and non-VW drivers. Please try and have the correct money if possible as this will help speed things up.

Display areas - open from 9am - 5pm

The Market Square
This will home to the pre-57 VWs plus a display of pre '60 standard models.
Over 70 VWs including Kubelwagens, Karmann Cabrios, Hebmüller Cabrios, Split Window Beetles, Ovals and Barndoor Buses.

Lavenham Press on Water Street
As in 2008, this area will house a display of 65-67 Big-window beetles.

Lavenham Common
At the bottom of Water Street, on The Common you will find the trade stands and more displays of Vintage Volkswagens.
Over 60 Splitscreen Type 2s along with 58-64 Small window beetles, Karmann Ghias and Type 3s.

Please note - There are no vehicles displayed at the school this year due to building work.

We hope everyone has a great day and let's pray for some good weather! 😎
