Any suggestions on the best way to remove a door hinge pin without ruining the paint too much. I'd like to fit a threaded one for a mirror.

Think you can still chip the paint with the tool if the paint is all over the old pin.

I can live with repainting the hinge, I just don't want to put heat on it and burn the paint off half the door...
