I've update some pictures I thought that I may off had a few comments as these chargers are quite rare & took me best part of a couple of years to get hold of one. Hence attaching pictures. For some of you may not like the stance. This is my first car with this stance in almost 25 years of owning a VW air cooled as I have always had standard set ups. It may be that as I get older I want something different. I have a 56 low light with all matching numbers to be restored once the oval is complete. This will definitely be stock.

I like it. So is the charger an original kit?

No that's one of Ray Schubert's repro of the '50s Pepco Supercharger. He markets them under the "Speedwell USA" banner.
They were launched a few years back but Ray, although a nice guy, is frustratingly difficult to contact.

You are correct. I managed to contact Ray as I purchased this from a person selling the charger from this forum. I didn't have the manual & asked Ray if he could help. All he did was too asked where I had purchased the charger from after that he didn't reply. A very nice guy had a manual & sent it through free of charge. Top fella. The engine sounds great hopefully I'll have the car ready for Volksworld show check the website I refer to in my first advert
