hmmm, mine seems to only want to 80km/h even with my foot to the floor. must need a service

If the car feels smooth and pulls away well then get someone to put their foot down to the floor on the accellerator (with the engine off) and check around the back that the throttle lever is on the side of the carb is opening all the way. I've had it where putting the foot to the floor wasn't actually opening the carb all the way which cut the top speed.

I've had that problem, there was a lot of play in the pedal assembly, took it completly apart and shimmed it out with washers.

Done a fly past on the BBT cruise at 90Mph (uphill :shock: ), bit scary on Xplies, but standard blueprinted 1200 engine.
You can never have too many accessories on your car. 🙂

turns out there was just a piece of old carpet bunched up underneath the pedal :lol: so i took it out and the problem seems to be solved, thanks guys
