1952-11G

Hello All,
I was inspired by the eariler posting of the 1949 ragtop, so I wheeled my 1952 out for some "beauty shots". It's an original rag car, repainted the factory color. Production date is approx. 1 month before the start of zwitter production. Restoration is almost complete, it just needs bumpers, running boards, the engine installed, and a few odds and ends.

The rear view mirror was an NOS, in the box "saturn" brand. The box showed it attached to a 53-55 ragtop beetle. The antenna is a real hirschmann red tip (not a repro) purchased off ebay.de for a whopping $9 US. It was NOS with the tag still attached; the seller had no idea what it was for, and just listed it as an "autoantenne fur oldtimer"

Other accessories include rosenthal dash vase, and telefunken IA50. I JUST found a correct power pack for it after years of searching. It was actually the hardest part to find for this restoration. Again, ebay.de for about $90.

thanks for looking and enjoy.

Kev's right about Bad Camberg...the car is in the States. I'd give my left arm to be able to get to BC, but it probably won't happen. Hopefully sometime in future years, especially if there is a convoy of US cars heading over and we could save some money on bulk shipping.
