I have dreamt about building a hebmuller for years and final decided to go for it.I found an early beetle for sale with ribbed doors and semaphores .It was in rough shape and a baja so it would be perfect to cut up

project has come to a grinding halt I had surgery on my neck in january 2010 had c6 c7 disc removed and metal spacer installed still having physio therapy hope to be able to continue with project

Exclamation That's a great job going on there... The neck thing sounds horrible, I hope it gets better and doesn't put the mockers on the build (although I'm sure it's down the list of priorities, somewhat!)

Fantastic work, it's looking great!! So the top mechanism, is it modified from a Ghia top or scratch built?

And hope the neck is OK!!

top mechanism, is modified from a 1976 beetle convertible. made wider moved pivot points and shorter length wise. 4.5cm higher made new bows metal and wooden
