I'm wanting to buy a beetle, a '66 bug project that's for sale is missing its shell VIN plate?
And the owner hasn't got it.. should I panic or is that OK? Is there another way to ID the body? Can you make another tag if you find out the original number etc?
Does not having the tag de-value the car much? And would it affect the sale of the car in the future when I decide to sell it on?
