On LBC radio a night or so ago, the EU was being debated regarding the leave or stay in senario.

Comment was made that events like the run of the Flying Scotsman steam train would be stopped by Brussels because of the pollution from the old steamers.

Some one phoned in and said that Brussels were making plans to ban vintage and old car runs and rallies within Europe for reasons on pollution too. A disaster for old VW owners as well as owners of every other old vehicle type.:omg:

Has anyone heard anything of this.:?:

It may be true or it may not. Over the years I have heard so much twaddle talked about the classic car movement ( cannot fit second hand parts, Will have to go to an authorised dealer for repairs, Etc Etc ) I don't believe any of it if it happens it happens and there aint nawt we can do about it :wink:

The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) will keep you up to date with what is going on in the UK and Europe see their website at www.fbhvc.co.uk  . The Historic Volkswagen Club (www.historicvws.co.uk ) have recently joined the Federation for just that reason, keeping up to date with changes and having the voice within the movement when and if necessary.
