Hi,

I would like to buy a Karmann Ghia for my wife, but she is a fairly new driver with no manual transmission experience. Did the KG ever come with an automatic or is there an automatic trans that can be swapped in?

I don't beleive VW ever built a fully automatic Ghia but I think you can buy a Semi-Automatic, same as offered for the Beetle from 1968?

thanks for the responses. I guess that's the Auto Stick... I saw some ads that mentioned Auto Stick and was confused as to whether it was an automatic or a stick shift
