A lot of people draw a line between cars that are 'stock' and cars that are 'custom', this site tends to be on the stock side. A lot of the skills in creating both types are the same, often the line gets blurred during this process too - custom cars using old steel, restorations using new steel etc.
I like the Rosensteil, obviously a lot of work and skill went into creating it, and it looks cool. If it had been built in the 50's then people would be all over it. Is it a coachbuilt? probably not really, it's a conversion.
Is a Heb coachbuilt? I personally don't think so, pressing an engine cover doesn't count as having the body built by a separate company than the chassis - nor was the body hand crafted by a coachbuilder.
All the lines get blurred when you analyze things too much, which is why it's often better not to do so...
