Wow! What a difference! Didn't first recognize the frontpage here.. Mostly just been driving the bug this summer since the annual inspection was done. So far been driving 2600km since the first week in June. :) Yesterday we (the 66 and I) participated in a local cruising with a few others from WestVolks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwaOCUHU-5ohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH70ENSIcXk |

Oh my!! Almost a year since last post in this thread... Stored the -66 for the winter in early September in the summerhouse garage. Checked it in March... Brought it home again in late April this spring getting ready for the 1st of May cruising. 1st of May. Then have been driving it occasionally during summer. This week it recieved new rearwheels. |

Ok. Now the winter seems to be giving in over here too so the past month I have spent on tracking some 12V parts prior to a 6V -> 12V conversion. Found a smallbody 12V generator so I can keep as much stock look as possible in the enginebay. Unfortunately I couldn't find a 12V regulator that have the same body as the 6V. I know for a fact that Porsche Tractors have those... (My Super does..) Today I gave the 30 PICT-1 an overhaul and replaced the acceleratorpump diaphrams etc. Also replaced the 125 mainjet with a 130 instead. Read in several placed that the 130 in the 30 PICT works well on 1600+ stock engines. Today I got all the parts together again. Had to push the car out of the winterhibernation as it was too dark to see how to connect the turnsignal relay and headlight relay... :) The generator regulator location is maybe not the most optimal but I think the overall look still looks satisfying.. The car still looks good taking in the concideration that I didn't wax or polish it at all last year... |

As I was in a hurry yesterday I had to leave the beetle outside at the summerhouse and return today for the teststart... Here's how it looked like today... http://youtu.be/qjVRya-cZQk |

Here's a few photos from the past summer too.. Converted the car to 12V and instead of using resistors or similar for the wipermotor I took a volvo 245 rearwipermotor and replaced the rotor and magneto from that to the original -66 wipermotor. It was used bumperless last year again. |

Not much here but been driving this some the past summer. Now it still have not found itself inside so sitting in the cold.... The past years I have had some new plans for this and collected some parts... So this week started working on a set of spare lower trailingarms.... Type-181 balljoints going in: The endresult will be a -66 kommanderwagen wannabe..... |
