Original description:
Very rare early Blaupunkt Frankfurt FM/AM Radio in working condition, but with a tempremental on/off switch (sometimes the radio does not shut off when the off switch is depressed, requiring it to be pressed a number of times).
This is a 1960 model with tubes/valves and a seperate transistorized powerpack at the rear. It is currently working on 12V but can be switched to work on 6V if desired (jumper switch on the side of the main unit and soldering of two wires in the powerpack as per Blaupunkt's instructions on the case).
The 'Blaupunkt' logo-embossed faceplate is designed specifically for use in a 1958-61 Beetle and this radio was available from VW dealers as an approved accessory at the time. The square, chunky ivory pushbuttons (as opposed to the later, slimmer rectangular buttons) are correct for 1955-61 Blaupunkts. The VW-style knobs, pushbuttons and faceplate are all in exceptionally nice condition.
Price £175.
Shipping available at cost.
