The Original plan was to just build a gravitycart or soapbox car (or what ever it is called) with a shrunk beetle fronthood and rear decklid but allready the first week the whole project got out of proportion and this is the result of one years labor... 😃

I'm pleased with the outcome and so is my son.. :wink:

Sorry, no progress on the Radcliffe from me anyways as it is the Hebmuller prototype nr 1 I'm replicating. :wink:

I'm about to get back on that one as the next one to be finished from now. I partly did The KidVrod just as a practice piece for training my metalworking skills.

Heb no1 - of course - my mistake. Anyway, It'll be good to see it done. Shouldn't take so long either, judging by your amazingly speedy work on the KidRod.

First of all the welds were hammered smooth while the welds was hot. Then just used an angle grinder with flapdiscs. :wink:

Fronthood and roof is also Leadfilled before the finish.

You must have a good welder, what gas mix do you use also was the wire 0.6 or 0.8.

Im going to lead load my offside roof gutter, do you use a paste or the old fashiond way by braising tourch. I ask as i can not seem to find anywhere that sells this stuff anymore?

If I remember correctly I think I used 0,8 wire and Argon gas.

For the lead I used the lead etching that first needed to be applied and melted with the torch to the sheetmetal. Then I could apply the lead with the torch and a wooden tool to smooth it out as halfmelted butter.. :wink:
