...Stonor Hill. north Hampshire, and Mr and Mrs Birks (my grandparents) stop to admire the view.
My parents later inherited this car and we travelled many miles in it in the early seventies, including at least one trip to Europe. It eventually rusted out, but it was already too late for me by then. I was hooked.

Oh what a lovely picture! I bet that road now has crash barriers?! :shock:
My grandparents only ever drove zodiacs & cortinas :roll: I was the first in any of our family to get a vw and even then my grandpop used to mutter angrily about the war whenever he saw it! But he used to fix Southdown buses and had a lovely black oily workshop at home so I still blame him for my hobby too 😃

The road is just north of Petersfield - I have been up there once or twice, but not for a longtime, so I'm not sure about the barriers. If I ever bring my kabrio over, I will restage this picture.
