Hello.

I'm looking after someones '65 American 21 window Samba microbus at the moment for the winter. It's great being an honoury bus driver for a while and it didn't occur to me how different driving one of these would be compared to my '63 Beetle.

I was just wondering a couple of things. Sorry I can't show any pictures to illustrate, but I would like to know what the switch on the steering column does. It's at the top of the shaft on the bracket holding it onto the dash. Also on the dash to the left hand side of the speedo (the bus is LHD) is something like a red light..what does this show? I've never seen it light...

Anyway thanks for any answers. I'll try and sort out a picture of it to put somewhere as it is beutiful and great fun.
