You have it right. It is indeed a Kit Car.:roll:
It was made from early 49 until mid 50.
The others years you can hardly speak of production, On the other hand, the production cars were so bad put together that the complains did not stop.
That fact and the discussion on the insurance problem, the end of the contract with VW was caused the end of Hebmuller. :cry:

My first tought was that it was a pre-Hebmuller-body but then I saw the crotch coolers in front.

Yeah!! i noticed that when i took the paint off mine.
Bit rough really, not as i expected a so called coachbuilt to look:shock:
But i was only referring to Yans car.
