And the worst thing is that Gordon was quoted by an analyst as saying that he is not even bothered about the falling £ against the euro and that it might well fall farther.

God I love Boris :d

"Why is the pound at a 12-year low against a basket of other OECD currencies? Who is to blame for the cost of my vin chaud?"

We are in fact now Europes paupers

Hmmm...I'm sitting here rather smugly having shelled out my hard earned in the summer of 2007 when the dollar was 2.05 to the pound:d

That nice Mr. Brown is even paying me to stay at home although I do hope he'll do something about the exchange rate before Hessisch.:?

I will try to curtail in my happyness about the exchange rate, for the sake of this thread. Christmas in the UK was cheap for me anyway.

Example.......
This car has been for sale for approx a year....
At one time last year about £14.5K
Now Over £25K(not looked at rates this weekend)
It's very sad...
(just an example,i too can see the faults with the car)  2044644.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.

It's a sad of state of affairs, but there's a 30 year legacy of Conservative and Labour party misdemeanours that have led us down this path of Sterling worthlessness.

Should people really be asking £25k (or £14.5k for that matter) for a Split with post 1967 Beetle rear wings???! How can people get restorations so wrong???
