This is a rare car,
One of the first Lawrence cars made in berlin..

Hello all,

not new to the forum... but new to posting on it.

Have any of you ever seen a Rometsch Goliath in person? it is the car on the right in this photo. I believe that there is one in a Berlin museum... but every time I go to this museum the car section is closed. There is also a barn door bus built to travel on rail road track at this museum.

Here is another view of that car. I believe that there may have been both Goliath and or Borgward versions of this body style. Yes I know they are not VW based... but they are interesting 3rd cousins.

Hi Eric,

Welcome aboard! I've never even heard of a Rometsch Goliath before - but it looks pretty cool. Kind of like a 356 with a grill in the front.

Come on, post a real photo of your Banana - that roof chop does nothing for the lines of the car... :roll:

It is pretty funny to bring this car to a 356 Porsche show and sit back and listen to all the know it all guys trying to explain what it is. 90 percent of them have no idea what it is... and crawl all over it with their buddies trying to figure out why they have never seen one before.
