Tail lights from a '46, anyone know the start and end year of these? Should the ring be chrome?  46tailights.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.

Ring could be either chrome or painted.
Used between February '46 (at a guess?) and June 1949.

There were two manufacturers, Hella and Hassia. Hella were by far the most common. There was the standard 'snowflake' design as pictured above and the several designs for the 'Nordic market' one of which is pictured below. Due to market regulations in these countries, the inside surface area of the lens had to be increased to produce more reflected light...

Does anyone have a picture of the interior support of the tail light housing that Rich posted above?

My '57 originaly had one like the above but with a 3 purpose unit (turn signal/stop/tail light) :? like the 3rd pic below. But this one doesn't show the two bulbs :evil:
