for now I only have this picture, later this afternoon I´ll have more pictures.
It´s preaty rusted but it was so cheap that I said "what the hell, bring it on!!"
Hope you like it.
A bit of the history of the '57:
The person that sold me the car, had some health problems back when he bought it in 1984 and he never got to drive it! So it´s been siting in the same spot since then, that´s why it is in so bad shape.
The engine is ok because, not many years ago he fired it up several times.
Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures my mobile is shi...
Tomorrow I´ll pick it up and bring it home
Good luck with the project. Great another survivor isnt disappearing...
It came home today... it is a dead project from the beginning :?
I have never such a rusted Vw in my life, there is no sheet of metal that isn't rusted
I think we can only save the chassis tunel gearbox and engine
...She sells sea shells on the sea shore!
wait a second I will post here the pics I got today 😞 ...
I started to remove all the trash inside and found the original color (metalic blue) and more rust.
the interior had all kind of sh#*+ and no floor panels
found the original upfolstry under a odd looking covers on the side panels
Fitted some wheels, just because it is easier to move the car arround.
Now I seriously do not know what to do... I have all the correct papers for the car, but am not sure if it is worth the trouble to fix it :? :?
Im sorry, but I have never never seen a door this bad  Sorry
Good luck!
I think tomorrow I will put all the parts together and store it for while, until I get my '73 restored, then I will think about it.
I do like the car a lot, but it´s just not a priority... :?
I opened the door and the door fell of...as with the doorpillar
And speaking of no Floor...see how the seat is clinched? That because the floor is gone.
It gave me a hard time to haul that one home. HPIM2057 kl.JPG You have insufficient rights to see the content.
