hi, it won't be a totally stock car once its finished (lowered!), but it will have 2 or 3 genuine vw accessories on it! (pop outs, mudflaps, parcel shelfs) so i won't be posting up any main pics of the car, as this is a stock website

heres some pics of areas that have been done so far, and are often ignored on 'restored' vw's!

as i couldn't find the correct style bumper mounts, the usual repro ones had to be used instead... :twisted: (don't worry, the original mounts weren't on the car when i bought it either!)

the car is having a few bits of welding done, and then an external respray in ruby red! as it had a bad respray done on the outside back in the 80's

good original lower 1/4's all round! (the rear 1/4's even have the original rubber bungs in them!)



the worst bits are the rear body mounts and bumper mounts



here is the almost finished inner arch, which is now finished...
all the repaired areas have been done extremely well, nice flush panel joins





the heater channel end plate had just been badly tacked over the top of the old one!!!
and whats better is that it only had 2 holes about a cm long near the outside edge, so those have been welded up!

it has also had a repair to the running board mounting strip, and the other side has been all welded up too

will get pics of this, this weekend...

That´ll look good. Maybe its because I´m used to looking at crossplys but your tyres look tiny! Nice looking car though.

at the end on january some dopey bird drove into the side of me 😞 :evil:

plan is to get the car back on the road and maybe sell it, or keep it and totally redo it
there is damage to the whole near side of the car 😞 and the a pillar has a kink in it :(

just bought a front wing and bonnet for it from vwgarden yesterday
i think the door and rear wing can be repaired
