Does anyone remember a topic on here about bumper iron colours? and which years should be silver and which black. I can't remember if the guys discussing it came to a final conclusion :?

I cant remember either, I always thought that silver irons were only on '66/'67 model cars, but I think someone (Mr Oakley? ) proved it was '61 on I think.

I'm positive that was the conclusion, as I remember thinking I need to change that on my '63.*

It's been a while since my last update so thought I'd post some pics. the welding is now completed we all know how this can snowball:o I won't bore you with a list of what's been done but most areas have had some work. also virtually finished the floorpan brakes and lines fitted as well.

Hi

Make sure you try your horn before you put the tank in. Noticed you'd painted the box and clamps on the box. The horn earths through the steering box then through the beam. I had loads of problems making mine work due to paint stopping the horn earthing. They put the steering box on the beam and then painted them together.
