Went and picked a 59 up today My new toy not much to do to her to get her back on the road A good weekend and she would be there (if i had the parts) some bits missing but nothing major. She was running on two cylinders when i picked her up new dizzy cap leads points and condencer had already been fitted. Wipped the plugs out and two had no gaps on them sorted that and sweet as a nut:thumbup:

Looked over the car today. took the front drums off to find new wheel cylinders shoes and adjusters new dampers hoses brake pipes and master cylinder fitted Looks like fresh greese in the link and kingpins and the fixing bolts have cleen threads:thumbup: To the rear new dampers shoes and adjusters wheel cylinders hoses and pipes Hand brake cabels clutch cable New swing axle boot on the O/S but a leaking origanal on the N/S !!!!! Later motor fitted and on 12 volts New heat exchangers (but now surface rust on them. Silancer holed and blowing. Looks to have had a lot of money thrown at this over the years and then just left in a shed. Floor Ok heater chanels OK looks like its had a body off resto. Wireing is a joke :thumbdn: along with the paintwork and trim. Drop glass not in the runners quarter light catches broken.Brand New 155 Firestones on the front and brand new lesser 185s on the back ( On a 4 inch rim :thumbdn: ) Rear hub seals leaking so thay are stripped down waiting for parts. All in All well pleased with her she will never be a concorse car or show winner but a good honest old suviver that dident get slammed to the floor:p Andy W
