I have recently bought a 1954 ckd irish oval, its been butchered by someone and had all later panels welded it for the repair :(

they have then hand painted it in green hammerite.


Underneath the hammerite I have found the original light green paint, looks a bit like L 213 iceland green to me, is this a colour that was offered on 54 ckd bugs?

Did ireland use its own paint colours?

Any help will be appreciated.

The green paint is hammerite 😞 I found the tin inside the car. The car has been truely botched by the previous owner but I'm going to set it right and get it back on the road. I'm trying to get it back to the factory paint colour :)
