Heb No.39 from `49. Anyone know this car? It was on the stand of a blasting company.
It was interesting to see that the decklid was welded together, unlike the later pressed ones. Car was a bit "lacey" in places and had the usual motley collection of old fashioned welded repairs, but there were no real horrors on display.

Hi there, Yes this Heb is known. The real deal nr 39 :omg: . A collector from the german Black Forest owns it. I have contact with him but is a real hard man to deal with. No viewers in his garage alowed. He also:omg: owns the red primered rebuilt prototype that was showed in Bad Camberg last summer. The proto type that was made at VW by Ringel werkstatt. The same car that was on the Geneva autoshow.
Greetings. Peter
