Hi! I'm new here and am hoping for an idea or two on LED lights to replace the incandescent lights on the rear of a 1960 Bug. They work fine for what they are, but are unsafe in today's world. I only see 12v conversion kits listed as available. As a 30 year Mercedes mechanic, I have done everything I know of (short of trying an 8v battery and all that entails). I really want to keep it stock/original. Is there someone across the Pond that knows how I can find a 6v conversion? Thank you very much in advance for any help.:?

Thanx again, Vintagebug. I bought a set of the lights from the second ad you listed and (after delays on my part) have them installed. I got the assembled version without the harness and connectors. The electronic flasher is a must in my opinion, though it doesn't 'click clack' when in operation. Make sure to source the foam gaskets for lens to housing installation at the same time #111 945 235 for the oval lights. You'll need them. The total cost was USD$130.00 + shipping.

I am very pleased with the quality of the lights, the service, and the ease of installation. He told me that he has tried designing some for the 'heart' lamps, but without much success (or demand).
