I'm about to start a full 100% restoration on a 55 Oval and would like to know of any good books pacifically for the year ?
Books which will hopefully show, lights, colors, trim etc etc, keeping it stock.

Any suggestion would be a help.

The 1949 - 1959 VW Beetle by Bob Wilson charts the design changes and different parts.
You can never have too many accessories on your car. 🙂

You would most likely be a 55 New Zealand assembled German car, yes?
Silly question but have you got Kiwi Philip Coyle's NZ VWs book?

Yes I have this book of course - in fact my Bus is pictured in it at least 2 times.
I know Phil very well, in fact we spent sometime togeather just last weekend at Bulli #9 here in NZ.
