Hello Guys,
as we are doing the welding stuff on our 1945 beetle - i have time and so i am putting together my early 1949 sunroof beetle. I got it some years ago from Simon Mitchell and i restaured it complett new. Now i am putting it together.
Hope you like the pics

Is this a German car originally or one from Belgium/Switzerland?

Hello,
it is a german car that was a diplay car at the VW dealer in MΓΌnchen MAHAG.
It was standing there together with our HebmΓΌller Nr. 5
Now both will stand over 58 years later agin together.

Nice πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒ :D

Is it in grey primer or pale grey eggshell/satin paint?

Out of interest why the grey colour I guess thats what it was painted originally, as you have the pic which is a great thing!

We are bringing a 1950 original sunroof car to Camberg, now we want an older one! πŸ˜ƒ

Blimey, it has been a while since that car looked this good. Isn't the car a sun roof prototype?

Wasn't this car built on March 31st 1949?
