Does anyone know where i can find out what colour my original carpets and headliner were?

the seats are a tan colour.

i guess that raises another question..... what colour was my car originally?!!!

the whole thing was shot blasted when i bought it!!!

now its black so i guess, beige seats and greyish beige carpets would be the way forward.

any idea where i could buy a decent carpet set?

how about retrimming the seats, any good companies?

You can get a 'birth certificate' from the VW automuseum in Germany which will tell you all about your beetle...

Hi Jon,
I have two 54's one beige and one texas brown, both have/had the tan leatherette interior. The carpet should be oatmeal and Spirit of the 50's do a nice line in the original german square weave material.
I believe the headliner colour is beige grey but someone may be able to put me right on that one.

As for retrimming the seats, Karmann Konnection do some nice covers which you can fit yourself quite easily.....over to you Jules :lol:
