Just wondering if a Sept '53 oval should have smooth or grooved/ribbed semaphores?
Have had conflicting advice until now, can anyone offer a definitive answer?

Thanks; had thought my car should have ribbed/grooved semaphores but saw a Zwitter at a show a few weeks ago and it had smooth ones.....
At least you've now confirmed my doubts about the ribbed/grooved issue!

That zwitter was not in original condition thats for sure ! ! I have seen one of the first ovals in original condition with these semaphores ! Check the picture !!  12645.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.

But still has ribbed semaphores. :wink:
