Hello all could anybody help please i have a 1958 beetle and the fuel pump has stop working does any one no if theres a common problem with the fule pump on a 58 beetle and if so what is it and how can it be fixed. also was thinking of getting a electric fuel pump but dont no where to get one from for a 6v beetle of this year any ideas please

Hi...

We have a comprehensive rebuild kit for the early pumps in stock at KK should you need one.

It's worth mentioning that if the diaphragm is damaged it is possible for fuel to get into the engine oil, and if that happens you should not start the engine.... so pull the dipstick and smell the oil!!

Thanks jules stripping the fuel pump down today. so ill find out if it needs a kit or not, would you no if kk sells the rod that goes from the fuel pump in to the engine as well or does that come as part of the kit.
