You can pick them up at most shows fairly cheaply. I'd guess folks who upgrade from 6v to 12v just want to get rid of them! :shock:

We're at Diva dubs etc. in Shropshire right now, which isn't too far from you -- is it any help if I see if there's one here and let you know how much the seller wants?

Edit: Oh, are you looking for a year-correct '54 one? If so then I haven't seen one here.

Thanks for the responses. I have just had the car back with the starter re-built.....It is loads better but if it doesn't catch first time it still has trouble starting....any ideas...voltage regulator?
