I must apologies for my complete lack of knowledge but part of the reason for buying the '53 is to learn how to overcome this sort of issue myself rather than paying someone to do it
Whilst driving, I felt the front of the car seemed a little loose & not as tight as it was, I then went over a pot hole & got quite a violent wheel wobble a bit like a tank slapper on a motorbike.
So after stopping I checked the front wheels & the nearside one could be pulled a little, I checked the wheel bolts & they are tight. I presume the next thing to do is pull the hub nut cover off to see if that's tight & then check the wheel bearings ?
Am I heading in the right direction ?
How do I check the bearings & where are they ?

I know to most of you this must be so basic, but if I don't ask for the information in simple / straight forward terms I'll never learn & you never know it might help someone else whose afraid to look like a numpty like me
Also is there a decent workshop manual which would cover a '53 new or old to look out for ?
