 are you feelin ok, pics of my car gotta be a joke ?
well i got this one instead of a 52 standard which JARV brought in the end, im glad he did as i would of killed it by now using it everyday
i can't bring myself to go down the rest'o road with this for now, (as i just finished doing a 59 australian coral red bug & about to buy a 67 camper)
i just like it looking 58 years old not shiny in anyway and the smell of a old car you can't beat
still oringal paint (what's left), stock height etc.. it had a judson supercharger fitted to the engine when i brought it but i have removed this now, all i have brought is a stainless steel abarth exhaust which i like the look of and some new wheel bearings
all i know is this about my car

Chestnut Brown (Zwitter)
model 11 C VW Sedan de Luxe
produced on 4 December 1952
delivered on 8 December 1952
delivered to Scania-Vabis, Södertälje, Sweden

it was an ex rally car in europe hate to think what it has been through  you can still see 43 on the bonnet when it's a sunny day
here's a pic

it's used everyday as a daily ride with help from owen's part stash

the thing with a DeLuxe Zwitter is having the aluminum trim around the split window, particularly on a black car, makes the split window stand-out, the best looking back-end of all Volkswagens

I agree standardsplit a split with aluminum trim does look nice, dry&heavy why be embarrassed be the pic of your car, you should be happy it's on the road. i would be very happy with that car myself (maybe respray her :d )
so has anyone seen this 53 split over at splitvan ?
is it solid or does it need a hell of alot of work if so 5 grand abit to much, but it does look a tempting buy for me
need some info before i drive over to gatwick to have a look

The '52 is a fair mix of parts from '52-'53, with incorrect upholstery and door card finish.

The 1950 is what it says on the tin 😮

With your budget limit I'd be considering the '52 – and maybe an offer
